Conflans-Sainte-Honorine wants to participate in the Climat Air Energie label

Under the impetus of the opposition group Ici-Conflans, the City of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (Yvelines) will join the Climate Air Energy process.

A unanimous vote by the municipal council approved this candidacy on March 21, reports

The Climat Air Énergie label consists of supporting local authorities in an ecological transition process.

A diagnosis and support are offered for four years to implement an action plan against global warming.

There are five performance levels ranging from 1 to 5 stars.

The law obliges the sets of more than 50,000 inhabitants to adhere to the device.

Conflans-Sainte-Honorine therefore already participates with the Grand Paris Seine et Oise community (Gps & o).

But the latter "has only carried out 22% of the action plan in favor of the environment", deplores a municipal councilor.

Currently, 249 French communities are committed to the Climat Air Energie label.

This concerns a total of 24 million inhabitants in the country.
