Alicia Vikander believes that she was not sufficiently protected when she shot her first nude scenes.

The actress spoke with

Harper's Bazaar

about the loneliness that some young actresses feel when they are forced to shoot sequences without clothes.

“The only thing that can't be improvised is an intimate scene – you have to do a choreography and stick to it.

It's the worst thing ever to do these scenes.

I'm very comfortable with my body and I've done quite a bit of nudity and sex scenes, but it's never easy,” she said.

intimacy

To ensure that the actors are, as far as possible, comfortable in this kind of situation, Hollywood has recently set up, and in an almost systematic way, the presence on the sets of "coordinators of intimacy”.

In the interview, Alicia Vikander recalled a time when such a coordinator would not have been a luxury.

“I've been in situations that weren't pleasant, where I didn't feel protected.

One day during a shoot everyone was busy doing their own stuff and in the middle you have an actor who sits there naked for two hours.

Someone was supposed to show up with a bathrobe, but they didn't.

It was afterwards that I understood that it was not good.

I should have been taken care of,” she added.

Intimacy coordinators are central to the story of

Irma Vep

, the series adaptation of Olivier Assayas' 1996 film.

Alicia Vikander plays the lead role.
