A recall campaign concerning two types of raw milk cheeses from a Graindorge brand cheese dairy (Lactalis group) and marketed by major retailers was launched on Tuesday.

This follows the discovery of a cheese containing the bacterium responsible for listeriosis, indicated the government site Rappel Conso.

Food alerts that have multiplied in recent days.

After Buitoni pizzas, Kinder chocolates, it is the turn of cheeses to be the target of a recall campaign.

Six cheeses are likely to contain Listeria, a bacterium responsible for listeriosis.

Since Tuesday, Bries and Coulommiers from the Normanville and Graindorge brands must be brought back to the store.

They all come from a cheese dairy belonging to the Lactalis group, are marketed in major stores throughout the territory and could contain Listeria monocytogenes.

The risk for consumers is to contract listeriosis, a food infection which, once declared, can be fatal.

Only a few hundred cheeses concerned

However, only a few hundred cheeses are concerned, according to the director of the cheese factory.

But this announcement comes just days after two major health alerts, Buitoni pizzas and Kinder chocolates.

A rare particular context, but "it's the law of the series", we explain to the Ministry of Health.
