The author of a famous article entitled “How to kill your husband” is accused of killing her husband

Nearly 4 years have passed since the mysterious crime, the trial of the 68-year-old American novelist, Nancy Crampton Brophy, in the US state of Oregon, for the murder of her husband has begun.

The controversy was renewed over an old article written by the accused novelist, in November 2011, entitled “How to kill your husband,” which stated:

“I find it easier to wish people to die than to kill them.

I don't want to worry about blood and brains splashing on the wall.

In fact, I'm not good at remembering lies.

But what I do know about killing is that each of us has the capacity to do so when pushed far enough.”

Years later, in 2018, her husband Daniel, a highly regarded private culinary teacher in Oregon, was found shot dead in one of the school's kitchens, according to a report by sputnik on the Daily Beast website.

The day after his death, Brophy, best known for her novels about failed relationships, wrote on Facebook, "I have sad news to announce to you.

My husband and best friend, Dan Brophy, was murdered yesterday morning.

For those close to me who feel this is worth a phone call, you are right, but I find it hard to understand all this now.”
