[Explanation] Under the epidemic, Hong Kong social groups stepped forward, donated money and materials, and actively participated in the fight against the epidemic.

A few days ago, the Hong Kong-Guangzhou Federation of Associations donated a batch of daily necessities to the six centrally-aided community isolation facilities in Hong Kong, with a total value of more than 1.54 million Hong Kong dollars, which will benefit 40,000 quarantined people.

Huo Qiwen, chairman of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Youth Federation, accepted an exclusive online interview with a reporter from China News Agency after participating in the event.

Huo Qiwen introduced that since the fifth wave of the epidemic, the Hong Kong-Guangzhou Federation of Associations and the Hong Kong-Guangzhou Youth Federation have donated more than HK$10 million in anti-epidemic materials to support Hong Kong's anti-epidemic work.

This time, we have raised a total of more than 10 million (HKD) worth of anti-epidemic materials.

We donated about 10 million flat masks, more than 500,000 three-dimensional masks, about 2 million gloves, about 10,000 sets of protective clothing, as well as some medicines and rapid test reagents, and this time we sent them to 80 charitable organizations, through the district councillors, distributed them to the ordinary people at the grassroots level, which made them feel warmer.

[Explanation] In addition to donating anti-epidemic materials, Huo Qiwen introduced that, at the suggestion of his father, Huo Zhenhuan, the Huo family also donated to the University of Hong Kong to promote the "United Willingness Epidemic Monitoring Plan", which helps to assess and monitor the spread of the epidemic in Hong Kong by collecting real-time data from the Hong Kong community .

We donated 10 million (HKD) to the University of Hong Kong, and we hope to be a third-party (organization) to test the real situation of the epidemic.

Because in addition to the Hong Kong (SAR) government collecting information from all parties, in fact, many ordinary people, including some people we know, may be infected. Of course, they are reluctant to disclose this information, so we felt that all parties were involved. Donate different materials, and then my father thought at the time that, in addition to materials, there are some aspects of information management that may also be very important.

[Explanation] As a native Hong Kong youth, Fok Qiwen said bluntly that in recent years, he has witnessed the increasingly close connection between Hong Kong and the country.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the support from the central government and mainland cities for Hong Kong has also warmed him.

Including the Fangcang shelter hospital we just went to, it should not be possible to achieve rapid construction in Hong Kong within 7 days. Generally, I estimate that Hong Kong may not even be able to complete the contract within 7 days, so this is also a demonstration of the strength of our country.

[Explanation] Fok Qiwen said that in the future, he and his community will be committed to restarting Hong Kong's economic and social development and provide practical help to grassroots citizens affected by the epidemic.

In the past three years, many people in Hong Kong have been greatly affected, and it is still necessary to solve their overall income and an expense for their costs.

Therefore, I think the next step is to hope that the central government, including the Hong Kong (SAR) government, can have a relatively strong support in this regard, and can really help the people at the grassroots level.
