Harris put her acting plans on the shelf in the early 1950s when she got married and started a family, but started again with amateur theater and was in commercials when her three children got older.

Eventually, Estelle Harris began appearing in television series and her Seinfeld debut came in one of the series' most acclaimed episodes: the 1992 Emmy-winning The Contest.

Harris then regularly appeared as Estelle Costanza and screamed at both Jerry Stiller who played father Frank and Jason Alexander in the role of George Constanza.

She leaves behind three children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
