Volunteers from the Lions Club Grenoble Porte de France launched the 21st edition of the “100,000 tulips” operation on Monday, reports

Le Dauphiné

.

Until the end of April, everyone is invited to come and pick the many tulips that have been planted on Chemin de la Carronnerie in Meylan, near Grenoble (Isère).

A collection of donations

The initiative aims to support research into childhood cancer.

Every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., five to seven volunteers are present on site to welcome pickers and organize the collection.

A donation of ten euros thus makes it possible to leave with a bouquet of 15 tulips, specifies Actu Grenoble.

The profits will be donated to various organizations such as the pediatric service of Doctor Plantaz at the Grenoble University Hospital, to the association “A each one his Everest” of Christine Janin or to the associations Soleil Rouge and Locomotive.

Similar initiatives are carried out by other Lions Clubs elsewhere in France.
