At Paris Fashion Week, one of the world's four major fashion weeks, a model in their 70s is drawing attention on the runway stage.

As a senior model, Misook Eom, who opened the door to the second act of her life, joins me.

[Eom Mi-sook / Senior Model: Actually, if Blue Tambourine designer Bo-min Kim and CEO Lee Kun-ho invited me and took me to Paris, she would not have been able to stand here.

[Misook Eom/Senior Model: Designer Bomin Kim posted the theme to be developed at Paris Fashion Week under the theme of Fairy Tail, a fairy tale, and among them there is a character like Queen of the Night and Queen of the Night.

But after looking at me, the image of the character is very suitable, so that’s why they chose me.]

[Eom Mi-sook/Senior Model: Not suddenly.

When I was in middle and high school, I was active in the theater class, and in college, I have been teaching drama and novels for almost 40 years in English literature.

Also, I was able to experience the culture of each country while working as a para-diplomat in Canada.

So, ah, I've always wondered how I can make my dreams come true on a stage like this.

And now, as soon as I retire, I put it into practice.]

[Eom Mi-sook/Senior Model: There are academies that people go to a lot.

So, I enrolled in the academy, and at first I registered like that to correct my posture.

Because I've been teaching for a long time, so I've heard that my back is a little bent and I have a turtle neck, so I started by correcting my posture.

Then, if there was a competition, I went to the audition, and now that I have won several awards, I gain confidence and it is worth doing. And I can realize my dreams, so I was excited.

[Eom Mi-sook/Senior model: My husband said it was exciting and he did well, he did well, what do you do when you are in the closet after retirement? So he encouraged me a lot like this.

Son and daughter, to be honest, what her mother would do if she tampered with that image of a professor, so she was very concerned.

But now they say that they are the biggest supporters and encouragers, kids.

[Eom Mi-sook/Senior Model: Actually, whenever there is a competition like this, I am a very hard-working, diligent type who prepares by understanding the nature of the competition well.

So, in the eyes of others, I look exotic and boyish, a little masculine, and my hairstyle is like this.

So with that kind of charm, if you go to an audition or something like this, you called and selected them a lot.]

[Eom Mi-sook/Senior model: Just because you're getting older, you're already walking with a gait, and your mind and thinking attitude. What do you learn now?

There are people who think that it is enough to arrange life now, so passively.

But I want to tell them to stand up before it's too late.

I think it's time to burn and reveal something like that identity, dream, and then any passion you have.

You've been dedicated to your family for so long.

I think it's their time now.
