A new vehicle, the second generation of the sightseeing train "Iyonada Monogatari" that runs along the sea in Ehime Prefecture, started operation on the 2nd, and the departure ceremony was held at JR Matsuyama Station.

The JR Shikoku sightseeing train "Iyonada Monogatari", which connects Matsuyama Station with Iyo-Ozu Station and Yawatahama Station, debuted in 2014 and has been used by a total of 140,000 people for seven and a half years.

From April 2, a new second-generation vehicle began operating, and at the departure ceremony held at Matsuyama Station, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by President Nishimaki of JR Shikoku and others.

On the first day, all four trains were full, so 56 people boarded the first flight to Iyo-Ozu Station in the morning, and JR employees waved their hands off with a smile.

The new car is a 3-car train, and the exterior is colored in red and red with the motif of the dusk of Iyo-nada.

The interior is retro and modern in design, with private rooms for up to 8 people.

"Iyonada Monogatari" runs four times a day, mainly on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
