Corona tests for fish in Shanghai markets (video)

Social media users on a global scale shared a video of a medical worker being tested (Covid-19) on live fish at the Shanghai Fish Market in China.

The clip, published by the Chinese newspaper, “South China Morning Post”, shows that a medical worker inserts a cotton swab into the mouth of a live fish, in order to test the new “Corona” virus, according to sputnik.

"Please don't let it slip out of our hands," says the medical worker with full PPE to the local fishmonger handling the fish. "Don't worry, it won't bite you," the fishmonger replied with a laugh.

The video was first published by the Chinese radio station "Nhangsha", and it gained more than 2.3 million views on the "Haokan" platform only, as was shared by users of the Chinese "Weibo" platform.

The (Covid-19) test on fish comes as the city of Shanghai in China, a financial center of 26 million people, has seen an increase in cases of the virus in recent weeks, and the city has been divided in two along the Huangpu River to allow for tests Collective, with residents on both sides of the river in various stages of strict lockdown.
