Watch.. A huge fire devours the Mubarakiya market in Kuwait (video)
A huge fire broke out in the middle of the Mubarakiya market in Kuwait today, Thursday, as firefighting teams rushed to control it after it devoured a number of shops in the market.
Al-Mubarakiya market is located in the Qibla area. It is a heritage market, named after Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, and is characterized by its design that resembles the old markets.

Pictures and video clips circulating on social media and Kuwaiti media showed the extent of the fire, which had been burning for a while, and sparked a state of panic among citizens in the area, before it was brought under control.
The Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, said that eight firefighting teams, comprising more than 50 personnel, dealt with the fire.
The newspaper quoted a fire source as saying that the fire spread very quickly due to the nature of the site and the burning materials, pointing out that the fire did not result in deaths or injuries.
