Tunisian parliament leader Rached Ghannouchi on Thursday rejected President Kais Saied's decision to dissolve the assembly, saying it would continue its activities.
“We consider that the Parliament remains in activity,” declared Mr. Ghannouchi.
"Constitutionally, the president has no right to dissolve it."
On Wednesday, President Saied decided to dissolve Parliament, eight months after suspending it to assume full powers in July 2021.
In Guinea, former Prime Minister Ibrahima Kassory Fofana has been temporarily invested as head of the RPG Arc-en-ciel, the party of ousted President Alpha Condé.
A designation that is not unanimous among activists and frames the former ruling party.
Picasso returns to Dakar, to the Museum of Black Civilizations.
