Members of Europe Ecologie les Verts (EELV) from Trégor-Goëlo (Côtes-d'Armor) were surprised that tourist planes were able to fly on full alert for fine particles.

Activists denounced the “inconsistencies” noted this Saturday and Sunday, reports

.

They regretted that efforts had been requested from some and not from others.

Changed habits

“The planes have resumed their incessant rotations to take the paratroopers to altitude,” they lamented in particular.

At the same time, due to the spike in air pollution, people were advised not to borrow their cars for a short trip or overheat their homes.

The maximum speed allowed on the roads had been reduced in the region.

Despite the good weather, outdoor physical activities were discouraged.

On the other hand, “nothing was asked of amateurs of non-essential polluting activities”, estimated the Breton ecologists.

They recalled that fine particles killed 30,000 people each year in France.
