At a facility for the disabled in Ome, Tokyo, a facility employee was arrested on suspicion of injury for beating and injuring a resident man.
The man subsequently died, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details.
The person who was arrested was Daisuke Ochiai (40), a staff member of the "Independence Support School Ozaku SS", a support facility for the disabled in Ome City, Tokyo.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, on the night of the 28th, a 30-year-old man who had been in the facility was assaulted by hitting his face and was suspected of being injured.
The man was later found tired in the bathroom, and Ochiai called 119 and was taken to the hospital, but died shortly thereafter.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the deceased man was arbitrated by the suspect along with another resident, but he is suspected of having been assaulted afterwards.
In response to the investigation, the Metropolitan Police Department is proceeding with the identification of the cause of death of the man and is investigating the detailed circumstances by admitting that he has hit.
