He returns from

Los Angeles

without the

Oscar,

which he would have won as the protagonist of

Pedro Almodóvar's latest film,

'Parallel Mothers', but that will not overshadow the success story, three times nominated for the highest film award, three Goyas, a Cup Volpi at the Venice Festival, the honorary French César, a Bafta and many other distinctions, from

Penélope Cruz.

It is not surprising that Spanish women -according to the survey that Yo Dona has commissioned from SigmaDos to find out which women are benchmarks today- consider her the best ambassador of our country abroad.

In fact,

53.7% vote for her

and you have to go down to 17.9% to find the second, the swimmer

Mireia Belmonte.

The president of the Community of Madrid,

Isabel Díaz Ayuso,

occupies sixth place in the general calculation, but - alas! Politics, which engulfs everything - the voters of the PP and Vox promote her to second place, by obtaining the 42.1% of the accessions between them.

With 53.7% of the votes, Penélope Cruz is the Spaniard who best represents us

She is followed by the swimmer Mireia Belmonte (17.9%), Ana Patricia Botín (17.5%) and Úrsula Corberó (16.3%).

Support for the actress is unanimous: it is found among respondents of all ages, economic and educational levels, and among voters across the political spectrum.

Speaking of politics, of course -and this is confirmed by the results obtained in the last regional elections, in which he won the presidency of the Community of Madrid with more votes than the entire left combined-,

Díaz Ayuso (PP)

is considered the

most prominent

in the public sphere by

33% of Spanish women.

But in this section there is not so much distance with the second woman in contention,

Yolanda Díaz,

second vice president of the Government and Minister of Labor, who follows her (persecutes) with the support of

24.8% of those surveyed.

Ayuso stands on the podium in all age groups, economic and educational levels, and supporters of all parties except, of course, among the voters of the PSOE and Podemos, who endorse Yolanda Díaz.

33% choose Díaz Ayuso

She is eight points ahead of the second, the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz (24.8%).

Behind, the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero (10.5%), and the president of Ciudadanos, Inés Arrimadas (8.1%).

And here a revealing fact emerges:

Díaz Ayuso

, of course, is favored by

66.9% of PP voters and 46.4% of Vox voters,

but he also receives the support of

16.7% of supporters of the PSOE

and

10.4% of those of Podemos.

However, if we look at the records of

Yolanda Díaz,

she

won 57.5% of Podemos voters

and

38.4% of PSOE voters,

but her support among the ranks of the right is minimal: only the 5.3% of the respondents who identify with the PP and 6.7% among those who support Vox.

In other words, it could be inferred from these figures that supporters of the right do not consider looking the other way when it comes to highlighting public figures in politics, while those who declare themselves to be on the left of the spectrum do.

As it could also be deduced that, if at some point Yolanda Díaz decided to form the "broad front to the left of the PSOE" that she has repeatedly announced, it would be very difficult to scratch votes on the other side.

Marta Ortega vs. Ana Patricia Botin

In the business sphere, the dichotomy between the most mentioned,

Marta Ortega (37.9%)

-who these days is taking over the presidency of Inditex- and the second,

Ana Patricia Botín (33.6%)

-president of Santander- It is divided by age of the respondents, by their economic level and, once again, by their political affiliation.

While the daughter of

Amancio Ortega

seeks the support of

younger women, Botín

is done with that of those

over 45 years of age

and with that of those with a medium-high and high income level.

The latter is also the preferred businesswoman of the voters furthest from the extremes (PSOE, PP and Cs), while

Marta Ortega

monopolizes those of

Vox

and

Podemos.

María Dueñas and Elisabet Benavent: the generation gap

As for literature, the respondents are clearly divided by age: although

María Dueñas

-author of 'El tiempo entre cuerdas'- is chosen as the best writer of the moment, this title falls to

Elisabet Benavent

when readers are asked younger, between 18 and 29 years old.

This is where the digital gap comes into play, since this contemporary romantic novel writer, as she defines herself, began to publish on the internet.

32% choose María Dueñas as the best writer

With half the support, 15.3%, the author of 'Valeria's shoes', Elisabet Benavent, alias Betacoqueta, remains second in the ranking, supported by young people between 18 and 29 years old.

Close to her, in third place (14.1%), the writer who discovered deep Navarra with her Baztán Trilogy, Dolores Redondo.

And two points below, with 12%, is Megan Maxwell, the most widely read writer in Spain, with 2,500,000 books sold.

In the chapter on actresses, we once again find

Penélope Cruz

(27.5%) as the best valued in the middle age group, because the youngest (between 18 and 29 years old) prefer

Úrsula Corberó

and those over 45 to

Blanca Portillo (17.9%).

Only

Vox voters

choose

Blanca Suárez (15.2%).

Finally, sport is the field in which Spanish women will stand out the most in the next 10 years, according to the SigmaDos survey.

And of him now the most remarkable is the swimmer

Mireia Belmonte (24%).

Badminton is center-right: PP and Cs voters choose

Carolina Marín

(16.8% of the votes).

The tennis player

Garbiñe Muguruza,

the first Spaniard to have won the Women's Cup, is in fourth place with 11.8% and has the support of those over 65 years of age.
