According to his own statements, tennis legend Boris Becker has no idea where some of his trophies from Wimbledon are located.

He was in possession of many trophies and memorabilia from his 15-year tennis career but some were missing, the 54-year-old told a jury at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday.

If he found her again, he would hand her over immediately.

The public prosecutor accuses Becker of embezzling assets and not complying with information obligations in insolvency proceedings in his adopted home of Great Britain.

There are also nine trophies and medals at stake, including two of Becker's Wimbledon trophies and an Olympic gold medal.

The three-time Wimbledon winner told the court that the trophies were not that important to him.

He gave one of them, the President's Cup, to his mother.

Becker said it was all about the title.

He now regrets it: "Nowadays I wish I had them to show my children."

Some of his trophies and medals were also auctioned off to pay off Becker's debts, fetching "something around £700,000" according to his defender.

According to Becker, he started several calls to find the missing trophies.

Among other things, large tennis associations, halls of fame and museums were contacted, but Becker said he was "still not able today" to say where they were.
