The person arrested was Riku Kawashima, a 27-year-old care worker in Minami-ku, Sakai City.
According to the police, at around 6:30 pm, on the prefectural road in Kamotanidai, Minami-ku, Sakai City, a nearby office worker, Asahi Kitajima, collided with a motorcycle he was riding (28) and killed him. Suspected of murder.
At the time of the collision, Mr. Kitajima fell and was taken to the hospital but died.
Police initially arrested him on the spot on suspicion of negligent driving injury, but when he examined sightings and footage of a drive recorder of a car running nearby, Kawashima's passenger car suddenly changed lanes.
