According to his own words, TV presenter Oliver Pocher has health problems with his ear after being hit in the head on the sidelines of a boxing match in Dortmund.

He's doing "well according to the circumstances" and he hasn't lost his sense of humor, the 44-year-old said in an Instagram video on Tuesday.

However, he reported that he had been to the doctor in the past few days - his ear was "pretty bad".

"And if I'm unlucky, I have irreparable damage that doesn't go back," said Pocher.

He is currently undergoing treatment.

"I just can't hear certain frequency ranges at the moment."

Pocher was attacked in Dortmund on Saturday.

He had attended a boxing match by Felix Sturm.

Videos showed a man approaching the comedian in the front row and hitting him in the head.

The man is now being investigated for assault.

The police said it was obviously a deliberate and planned attack that was deliberately filmed.

According to media reports, the attacker was a musician from the rap scene.

Pocher called the attack "cowardly", "sneaky" and "malicious" in his statement.

Anyone could verbally hit him with anything, he explained.

"But not like that." In view of the circumstances, the situation was actually quite mild.

Suddenly there was a bang.

He was totally surprised and perplexed - the whole thing happened during a lap break.

Pocher said he now wants the case to be clarified before a court – with the public prosecutor and a judge.

It was an assault.

He hopes for a "maximum penalty," said Pocher.

He was also in favor of stopping all accounts in the man's social media.

"We're not talking about some funny slap in the face, we're talking about a felony," the comedian said.

According to the "Bild" newspaper, Pocher reported the crime to his lawyer.

The public prosecutor's office and the police were initially unable to confirm receipt of a complaint on Tuesday.
