10 years in prison for human organ trafficking gang

Yesterday, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced 7 defendants, including 4 doctors, to 10 years in prison, and fined them 200,000 pounds each, for accusing them of trafficking in human organs.

The Public Prosecution referred the defendants to the Criminal Court, on charges of forming an organized criminal group aimed at committing crimes of human organ transplantation and human trafficking.

The permanent disability of the victim is 15%.

Investigations revealed that the accused had persuaded two victims to sell their body parts, taking advantage of their extreme need for money.

Investigations confirmed, according to what the "Al-Masry Al-Youm" website reported, that all the accused formed an organized criminal group aimed at trafficking in human organs, exploiting people, and attracting them with the aim of obtaining a "kidney" human organ.
