who, at 19, is the youngest woman to go around the world alone in a small plane, a record that she broke earlier this year.

He has just started in Sofia (Bulgaria) his own circumambulation of the globe in an ultralight.
Flying any distance in one of these devices is a challenge for any pilot, but doing it at low altitudes around the world requires not only skill, but also a lot of guts.
"It's exciting to think that I'm going to do something incredible," declared the youngster before leaving last Thursday and completing
his first stage successfully
between Sofia and Tripani, in Italy.
His ship is a Shark that weighs about 325 kg and can reach a cruising speed of 300 km/h.
Mack's passion for the air began almost in the cradle.
At the age of eight he was already accompanying his parents on his flights.
"At eleven years old, after doing hundreds of hours with my father, I knew for sure that I wanted to fly," he says.
He just needed his own microlight pilot's license, something he got at the age of 15, becoming at the time (2020)

In the past two years, Mack has flown two transatlantic flights.
Not even the war in Ukraine has deterred the teenager from his fascinating adventure.
Of course, he has had to
alter the itinerary
.
The pilot is now flying across the Mediterranean and the Sahara to reach the Congolese jungle.
There he will turn east towards Mozambique and Madagascar until he reaches the island of Rodrigues, at the eastern end of Mauritius.
The trip will continue through the Seychelles and the Yemeni island of Socotra.
Oman, United Arab Emirates, India, China, South Korea and Japan will be the next destinations.
It will enter the American continent through Alaska.
It will cross the US, the Atlantic and back to Europe until it returns to Sofia, the headquarters of its sponsor, the technology company, ICDSoft.
Without contingencies, it could take between
two and three months.

Mack aspires to break
two Guinness World Records
: being the youngest person to fly around the world alone in an airplane and the youngest to do so in a microlight.
To this day, they are titles held by Britain's Travis Ludlow, who was 18 years old when he completed his own aerial feats.
Another incentive will be to
steal
a bit of prominence from his sister.
Zara completed the circumnavigation of the world last January, a journey of 155 days and a total of
51,000 kilometers
across the five continents.
The young woman assures that she has full confidence in her little brother: "He is a great pilot and I know he is capable of doing it."
