The official press conference on the 27th announced that through visits to find witnesses, a new accident-related video was found about 8 kilometers north of the incident.
Previously, in a farmland about 10 kilometers from the crash site, parts that fell off the wing of the crashed plane were found.
The investigation team also found small parts from the crashed plane in several townships in Teng County.
On the same day, the "3.21" China Eastern Airlines Flight Accident National Emergency Response Headquarters held a press conference.
Zhu Tao, director of the Aviation Safety Office of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, introduced at the meeting that as of 12:00 on the 27th, a total of 33,777 pieces of aircraft wreckage and debris had been searched at the scene.
Fire and rescue personnel will try their best to collect the wreckage of the aircraft in the later period to provide support for subsequent accident investigations.
On the morning of the same day, fire rescue personnel searched deeply in the key areas designated by the technical team, and manually excavated an orange cylindrical object, which was confirmed to be the storage unit of the flight data recorder and sent to Beijing on the same day's flight.
The cockpit voice recorder was discovered on the 23rd, and all the two black boxes have been found.
According to reports, the second black box data can provide real and objective evidence for the analysis of the cause of the accident.
Investigators need to comprehensively analyze and judge the data from the two recorders and the evidence from the on-site investigation.
After 6 days of full search and rescue, the accident headquarters confirmed on the evening of the 26th that all the people on board were killed.
A collective mourning event for the victims of the accident was held at the search and rescue site on the 27th.
The headquarters has sent 632 family members of the victims to the scene to offer condolences.
Some family members left one after another after completing the worship ceremony.
Liu Xiaodong, head of the propaganda department of China Eastern Airlines Group, said that the claims settlement work has been officially launched, and a claim settlement plan will be formulated in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, fully respecting the reasonable demands of the family members.
