Yesterday, the Court of Cassation in Egypt upheld the death sentence issued by the Giza Criminal Court, to execute Salah, son of the artist Morsi Abu Al-Abbas, accused of premeditated murder of his wife and their two daughters, in the Bulaq El-Dakrour area.

The accused stated that he went to the bedroom and strangled his wife with a telephone cord after he severely beat her, then strangled his two daughters, “Jannatullah” and “Habiba,” 13 years old, and after that he went to the bathroom. He committed suicide, went to the street, drank Pepsi and watched the football match, and reported the crime to the police department, claiming that he had discovered it, and that the crime was motivated by the theft of 300,000 pounds from his apartment.

When the accused stated that he suffers from a mental illness and has been treated for it 6 years ago, the prosecution requested that the accused be referred to a psychiatric hospital to ensure his mental health.

Meanwhile, investigations by the prosecution forces that confronted the accused concluded that the husband “Salah” was treating his wife badly, and a year ago he intended to marry her, and the victim’s wife was forced to continue the marriage for fear of excessive family contract.

The security services had concluded that the author of the crime was the husband who committed the crime, after it was found that he had scratches and bruises on his hand, and by presenting him to the Forensic Medicine Authority and taking samples of the wife’s nails, it became clear that the husband was the culprit and the resistance of the victim occurred.

During the prosecution’s examination of the body of the victim’s wife, it was found that there were injuries to her body, a bruise in the eye, and traces of scratches to the chest and neck.

The accused had informed the Boulaq al-Dakrour department that he had found the bodies of the three victims after returning home after watching the Egypt-Russia match, after calling his wife several times without a response from her, as well as losing some belongings from the apartment, and a sum of money of 340,000 pounds, the value of an apartment he inherited from his father and sold before The accident took 10 days.
