Wu Jinglei, director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, said that on March 24, Shanghai added 29 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 1,580 local asymptomatic infections.
Of the 29 confirmed cases, 12 were found in closed-loop isolation control, and 17 were found in nucleic acid screening of relevant risk groups.

At the press conference, Wu Jinglei expressed his deep condolences for the untimely death of a nurse at the Oriental Hospital due to illness.
He said that for more than two years, especially in the recent period, the city's front-line epidemic prevention staff, including medical staff, have been fighting very hard in a row, resulting in enormous physical and psychological pressure.
In the future work, we must pay attention to the front-line epidemic prevention personnel, and increase the support and guarantee in all aspects.
