After banning a veiled woman from entering a famous restaurant in Bahrain: We were arrested by the duty manager for investigation!

A famous Bahraini restaurant suspended a senior employee after activists circulated a video clip in which a girl accused the restaurant of preventing its owner from entering because she was "veiled".  


And the pioneers of social networking sites circulated the clip, expressing their anger at this behavior, as the girl explained in the video that she “goed with her friend to the “Lanterns” restaurant to be surprised that her friend was not allowed to enter the restaurant because she was wearing the veil,” considering that “restaurants should avoid making such decisions. Being in a country where Muslims are the majority.


Subsequently, the restaurant issued a clarification statement on its account on "Instagram", in which it said: "Lanterns is a respectable family restaurant, which opened its first branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain 35 years ago, and receives all visitors from citizens and residents of different nationalities without discrimination."

And the statement continued: "The alternate director has been suspended from work, to verify the case spread on social media platforms."

He continued, "As a gesture of goodwill from the restaurant's management, we invite everyone to visit the "Lanterns" restaurant in Adliya on March 29, to taste the Indian cusine for free."
