A medical center of 6,000 m² should be inaugurated at the end of 2023 in Valence (Drôme) at the place where the old Plein Ciel tower was located before.

It will bring together around thirty general practitioners and specialists, which will allow complete care of patients, reports France Bleu Drôme Ardèche.

Emergency consultation

This grouping could also be an opportunity, according to Dr. Houssam Bakkour, one of the four doctors behind the project, to attract young practitioners.

They will indeed be able to benefit from the experience of older doctors as well as from the proximity to specialists.

Patients will be able to benefit from a service for unscheduled care, relieving hospital emergencies in the same way.

The only difference with a hospital is the impossibility of carrying out outpatient surgery, the Regional Health Agency having not given its authorization.

However, patients will be able to consult at the center before going to a clinic or hospital.
