An exhibition on the theme of "inconvenience of expression", which had been postponed in Tokyo due to a series of protests, will be held in Kunitachi City in April.

When the exhibition with the theme of "inconvenience of expression" was held in Aichi prefecture three years ago, protests and intimidation over works such as a girl statue with a comfort woman as a motif occurred one after another, and in Tokyo last June. It was scheduled to be held in Tokyo, but it was postponed because it was difficult to secure a venue.
The executive committee of the exhibition met on the 25th and announced that it will be held in the hall of Kunitachi City for 4 days from April 2nd to 5th.
At the press conference, Mr. Sadaaki Iwasaki of the executive committee said, "I want to reaffirm the importance of freedom of expression through the exhibition."
In addition, Kunitachi City says, "I think there is no problem in renting out facilities. I would like to respond so that the citizens can feel at ease."
