What has season 1 of “The Bridgerton Chronicle” changed in your life?

The Bridgerton Chronicle

has changed my life in every possible way.

It's been one of the best experiences of my life, and it changed my life even before it came out, thanks to the people I got to work with, the experience I got from working on this show, the friends I made on set, the challenges I faced as an actor, everything I learned.

I won on the boards, because of the success, but especially how it changed my life on all levels.

Did that allow you to have new opportunities professionally or do you only get roles that resemble Daphne's?

I am very lucky.

I don't like to play the same type of role, and I haven't received that many proposals that resembled the character of Daphne.

My role in

Color Room

and that of the next film with Netflix,

I Heart Murder

, are very different.

I feel very privileged to have been able to break this mold in which I could have been put.

Season 1 was based on the duo you form with Regé-Jean Page, season 2 is centered on Jonathan Bailey who plays Anthony Bridgerton, Daphne's brother.

Do you have less pressure than in season 1 or more pressure due to the success of the series?

Me, personally, I had less pressure because I knew the role.

It was so easy for me to take over the role of Daphne.

I played this role for six months every day, so much so that I no longer knew who I was at the end of the shoot!

And so in season 2, it was nice to have her back.

But I'm sure there are people who are under pressure, we have new members in the cast.

I think it must be strange for them to embark on a series that has been so successful.

There is pressure, but it's different this season… For me, it was pure joy, the pressure is off, it's not my season anymore.

You will make an appearance in "Call My Agent", the remake of "Ten percent".

Have you seen the French series?

Yes !

I am a big fan, a very big fan.

I was very honored to be asked to participate.

For me, it was obvious.

I said "yes" before they even finished the sentence!

It was really fun to play a heightened version of myself and act in a comedy.

And I shot it at the same time as

The Bridgerton Chronicle

.

It was really fun to be able to step out of Daphne's costume and into my own clothes.

You produce and will play in the series “Exciteg times”.

What made you want to produce this adaptation of Naoise Dolan's novel?

This project kind of presented itself to me.

It was the perfect time, and I fell in love with the book when I read it.

Again, it seemed so obvious to me.

I wanted to tell this story and this girl is someone I know or have been at some point in my life.

It's an important story for me to tell in terms of sexuality, what it means to be a young woman, and finding yourself in a modern world.

It happened really naturally.

I am delighted to be able to be behind, behind the scenes, and in front of the camera for this project.

"Bridgerton" boasts a "colour-blind" cast...

In fact, it is not a “colour-blind” casting, but rather a “colour conscious casting”.

There is a difference, in the sense that it was necessary to put on the screen people in whom everyone can identify.

They were aware of the way they made the casting so that it reflected the public, that of Netflix, a platform present all over the world.

It was very important to them.

It's a real privilege to be part of something that really moved the lines.

It's interesting, in France, this expression "color conscious casting" is not very widespread...

It's interesting, isn't it?

I don't know what the French translation is, but the meaning is slightly different...

“La Chronique des Bridgerton” therefore benefits from a “colour conscious casting”, and the series you are producing will address the issue of bisexuality.

Do you think the series can change mentalities?

Yes, absolutely!

I think we have a huge responsibility.

The reason I want to produce is to make sure the people watching will be represented in what they watch.

I recently watched

It's A sin

, a series on the AIDS crisis.

I personally had never seen this story told before… And yet, AIDS has been around for years.

We have a responsibility to tell stories so people feel seen and heard.

Many people are unaware of certain things until they watch something about it.

This is important for young people who are confronting their sexuality or who do not feel represented on screen.

Me, as a young woman, I have seen many women who look like me in period films or series, but what about other young women and men?

Whether it's sexual orientation or diversity,

we have a responsibility to make sure everyone is seen and heard and everyone can relate to the stories we tell.

For me, this is extremely important.

We will also see you soon on the poster of “I Heart Murder” by Matt Spicer?

I Heart Murder

is a thriller.

Unfortunately, I can't say much more.

It's a great story and an ambitious film.

It's a type of role in which I've never been seen before!
