Red and blue bricks and yellow dots, it's almost over.

Jonathan Luquet, the designer of the online game Sutom has announced the end of his addictive game.

At the origin of his decision, a letter from France Télévisions, owner of the Motus brand, demanding a name change for the game.

Sutom is indeed the anagram of Motus, TV game of France 2 today withdrawn from the antenna, from which the online game is inspired.

Sutom is also the French adaptation of the online game Wordle.

In all these games, the objective is to guess, with the fewest possible attempts, a mystery word.

Crossed destinies

Both Wordle and Sutom have had rapid success on social media.

Viral and extremely addictive, Wordle was even bought by the

from its designer.

Sutom will not know a priori the same fate since its designer preferred to stop everything, to avoid any legal problem with France Télévisions.

In a series of tweets, Jonathan Luquet clarified that France Télévisions did not demand the stoppage of the game, only its name change, and that the audiovisual group is perfectly within its rights with this request.
