On strike for two months and after a multiplication of actions, the employees of Thales Alenia space, in Cannes, further hardened their movement on Thursday.
Since 5 a.m., several hundred of them have gathered to block the site from which satellites worth several tens of millions of euros come out each year.
The activity is at a standstill.
They are calling for larger increases, given the results of the Thales group, up 5.3% in 2021, i.e. a turnover of 16.2 billion euros, according to figures communicated by the inter-union.
Thales Alenia space "favors shareholder remuneration to the detriment of a salary policy that takes into account galloping inflation", denounce FO, CFDT, CGT and CFE-CGC.
“We can go further if we are not heard”
According to them, the management "intends to unilaterally apply a maximum envelope of 3.5% increase" and they are asking for "the removal of this ceiling" to "deal with the rise in inflation".
The blocking, voted by 80% of employees according to the CGT, is scheduled until Friday evening 9 p.m.
"And we can go further if we are not heard quickly," warns Nadine Guillermin, head of the union.
