[Explanation] In Changqing District, Jinan, Shandong Province, surrounded by distant mountains, there is a red tile and white wall, which is the China Rescue Shandong Search and Rescue Dog Mobile Professional Detachment. This is one of the two major fire search and rescue dog training bases in China. Shandong fire rescue dog training base has accumulated more than 3,300 trainers for the national fire rescue team, more than 3,300 search and rescue dogs, and distributed more than 700 search and rescue dogs.

In the little-known industry of fire search and rescue dogs, there is such a "flame blue", she is Yang Yudi, currently the only female fire search and rescue dog trainer in China.

[Explanation] Recently, the reporter came to the Shandong Search and Rescue Dog Mobile Professional Detachment to visit the indissoluble bond between the female trainer and the fire search and rescue dog.

According to Yang Yudi, the detachment currently has more than 160 search and rescue dogs, mainly including seven breeds including German Shepherd, Belgian Shepherd, Labrador, Springer Spaniel.

First of all, I majored in police dog technology. In 2011, our team lacked some technical personnel in this field, so I came here.

It has been 12 years since 2011 (January).

My main job is business training, technical guidance, including post-archive management.

[Explanation] With solid business skills, Yang Yudi is now mainly responsible for the training of trainers in 16 provinces in the northern region, the business training of initial and recurrent training of search and rescue dogs, and the file management of search and rescue dogs and trainers of 16 corps.

New trainers, train their professional skills.

For example, basic obedience, search and rescue dogs are mainly search and rescue, search is mainly for us to practice (search and rescue dogs) smell training, smell enhancement, the main search is human body smell, we finally transform from other items including toys to the human body odor.

It requires a process, and it takes four months for initial training.

In these four months, we must take the dog from the establishment of the smell to the establishment of the human body smell, and finally strengthen the training.

[Explanation] Search and rescue dogs are internationally recognized as the "experts" with the best search and rescue effects.

Strictly trained search and rescue dogs have played a unique role in various disaster rescue sites. They can capture some subtle odors emitted by human bodies in the air, and can bark in rapid succession to give warnings, accurately determine the location of the trapped people, and win valuable for rescue. time.

Yang Yudi told reporters that in order to train a qualified search and rescue dog, puppies need to undergo rigorous training for more than one year and repeat thousands of training actions.

When the puppy was handed over to our first training class, it was about 6 months old.

It has certain skills such as courage training, as well as its training of searching subjects. (etc.) When handed over to the trainer, it should do affinity training, and then strengthen their basic subjects, including sitting, lying, and standing. , Obey barking, because barking must be practiced, because it is a warning subject, and then strengthen the training of smell, that is, smell the source of smell.

[Explanation] Whether for puppies or adult dogs, Yang Yudi observed and analyzed the difficulties encountered by trainers in the process of dog training, actively summed up experience, explored rules, and formulated effective training methods.

One of the main methods of training dogs is the eight words, "induce, reward, force, prohibit".

Induce, use the dog's favorite food and items and the trainer's own actions, let the dog complete some subjects, and then you have to give it some rewards.

The reward is to strengthen the dog after it completes some actions.

Forcing, maybe we need to use some threatening passwords and some stimuli to reinforce the dog.

Prohibition means that we use the "non" password. For example, it is forbidden for dogs to pick up food anywhere. It may be (the password) "non".

[Explanation] Search and rescue dog training is a physical task, and it is a meticulous task.

Breeding, young training, assessment, initial training, recurrent training, simulated actual combat... Generally women do not have an advantage in physical strength, which is one of the reasons why there are fewer female search and rescue dog trainers and trainers.

But in Yang Yudi's view, women's gentleness and thoughtfulness have unique advantages in training search and rescue dogs in terms of emotional perception and affinity training.

Search and rescue dogs, especially puppies, we all regard them as children who can't speak. In fact, when you train them, you will find that the relationship between you and the dog is irreplaceable. Many feelings cannot be replaced. .

So each trainer, their feelings are very delicate.

Because they are facing a search and rescue dog that can't speak, we only need to teach it to go to school through its behavior, which is what we call training, but also to cultivate it and make it a talent.

One of our words is to say what kind of person you are, what kind of dog you will bring and what kind of dog you will train. We can know who you are through your dog.
