At 20:00 on March 22, the ship lock of the Three Gorges South Line and the No. 3 ship lock of Gezhouba officially resumed navigation after 29 days of suspension for maintenance, 12 hours earlier than the original plan.
The suspension and maintenance began on February 21. The Three Gorges Navigation Administration of the Yangtze River, together with the Three Gorges Group River Basin Hub Management Department, made every effort to focus on construction safety and epidemic prevention and control, standardize process quality management, and strengthen node progress control. The main projects of electricity and water were completed ahead of schedule and met the requirements of safety, quality, progress and environmental protection.
After the official resumption of navigation, the Three Gorges Navigation will resume the operation of "one machine and thirteen locks", and will continue to implement the linkage control and classified scheduling of ships passing through the dam. Full power to serve the economic development along the Yangtze River.
