The regional branches of France 3 Corse and France 3 Marseille broadcast a report on the attack on Yvan Colonna last Thursday.

Viewers there discovered images from a prison surveillance camera that shocked the family of the independence activist.

France Télévisions has decided to withdraw the report from its site.

This is a sufficiently rare fact to be underlined: France Télévisions has deleted the replay of one of its reports, which was nevertheless broadcast on the air.

Thursday March 17, the regional antennas of France 3 Corsica and France 3 Marseille broadcast a report on the aggression of Yvan Colonna, in their television news of 7 p.m.

These images shocked the family of the independence activist, currently in a coma.

The report has been deleted.

It showed ten exclusive photos of the attack on Corsican nationalist activist Yvan Colonna.

These images, dated March 2, were taken from the Arles prison surveillance camera.

Viewers were able to see the attacker strangle and then suffocate the victim with a plastic bag.

After the broadcast of this report on television and then on the Internet, Yvan Colonna's family said they were "shocked".

A possible complaint from the Colonna family

Since then, the report, the images, but also the article taking up the TV subject, have been removed from the France 3 Corse site.

France 3 journalists were also ordered to delete the tweet announcing this exclusive information.

Contacted by AFP, France Télévisions did not wish to comment on this deletion.

Friday, the family of Yvan Colonna assured that she was preparing to file a complaint for violation of the secrecy of the instruction.

Remember that to this day, Yvan Colonna is still in a coma.

A judicial investigation for "attempted assassination in connection with a terrorist enterprise" was opened on March 6.
