Since 5 a.m. on Monday morning, the Total Energies refinery in Feyzin (Rhône) has been blocked to protest against the rise in fuel prices.

Drivers, taxis, farmers and construction workers have mobilized to demand more aid from the government in the face of this soaring price.

Forty people, sixty trucks, seven tractors and dozens of tires blocked the entrance to the refinery.

The announcement of a discount of 15 cents per liter, effective from April 1, obviously did not convince the trades who gathered in front of the site.

Other blockades of the same type take place jointly throughout France.

Before this blockage, the Feyzin refinery had announced that it would close on Wednesday for a large-scale cleaning and maintenance operation, which will last nine weeks.
