To make women feel safer when they circulate in certain streets of Chambéry (Savoie), exploratory walks are organized to target sensitive areas.

The first took place on Wednesday in the district around the Faubourg Montmélian, indicates

.

About ten women, residents of the district, volunteers or elected officials, strolled for two hours and made seven stops in corners identified as sensitive or not very well equipped.

A questionnaire was completed at each stage to find out how the women feel there.

A second walk, at night this time

The objective: to allow women to reclaim public space because, in certain neighborhoods, they do not feel they belong there.

A second march is scheduled for Wednesday March 23, this time at night, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
