Egypt: 10 years in prison for a driver who assaulted his niece

Mansoura Criminal Court, Fourth Circuit, in Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt, sentenced a driver to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting his minor niece with her consent, which led to her becoming pregnant and the death of the fetus in her womb.

According to the Al-Masry Al-Youm website, the 16-year-old girl with severe bleeding and pain arrived at the hospital.

Doctors confirmed the existence of a molar pregnancy outside the womb, and that the death of the fetus inside her was what caused her to suffer severe bleeding and pain.

By asking her mother, the mother accused the girl's uncle of sexually assaulting her daughter against her will until she became pregnant from him, and confirmed that her daughter informed her of this after feeling sick and bleeding.

During the Public Prosecution's investigations, the accused confessed that he slept with his niece with her consent 4 times on the roof of their house, where he and his brother lived in the same house, and each in a separate apartment, where he and his niece met on the roof.

The accused indicated that his brother and his wife did not suspect that they had met, as he was her uncle and a close friend of the family.

The Public Prosecution accused him of endangering the morals of the victim, by inciting her to commit pornographic acts contrary to public morals, which are the subject of the first charge, and that would threaten the integrity of her upbringing that must be available to her as indicated.
