Taking a leisurely walk in the mountains, Chongqing found traces of leopard cat, a national second-level key protected wild animal

  Recently, the staff of Chongqing Dabashan National Nature Reserve Management Affairs Center discovered the activity of leopard cat, a national second-level key protected wild animal, when sorting out the image data taken by the field infrared camera.

  Infrared camera video shows a leopard cat appearing in front of the camera, sometimes taking a leisurely walk, and sometimes looking around alertly.

It is understood that the leopard cat mainly inhabits the mountains and forests, suburban shrubs and other places. It has a strong climbing ability and is a typical nocturnal animal.

Usually feeds on rodents, birds, fish and small mammals.
