A poisoned goat carcass kills 100 endangered eagles (video)

About 100 carcasses of endangered vultures have been found in a rice field in the Indian state of Assam.

According to Indian reports, vultures died after eating the carcass of a goat poisoned with pesticides.

A forest official in India said: "We found some goat bones near the carcasses of vultures. We suspected that the vultures died after eating the poisoned carcass of the goats. But the cause of death will appear in the autopsy report."

He added, "It is a big crime committed by the person who mixed the carcass of the goat with poison, and we will arrest that person," stressing that investigations are underway to find the culprit.

About 100 vultures have been found dead and many critical at Milanpur, Chaiygaon.
