Jean-Yves Tadié is professor emeritus at La Sorbonne (Paris IV) and director of the “Classic Folio” and “Folio Theater” collections at Gallimard.

A former student of the École Normale Supérieure, he is agrégé and Doctor of Letters.

Biographer and specialist of Marcel Proust, he directed, in 1987, the new edition of the novel " 

In Search of Lost Time

 " in the Library of the Pléiade, crowned in 1988 by the price of the French Academy.
