Sydney Sweeney to star in 'Madame Web'

, the young actress landed a new major contract: she will star in

, a new Sony Pictures project based on the

Sydney Sweeney will face Dakota Johnson in this adaptation of the character who, in the comic books, is an elderly woman connected to a spider's web giving her psychic powers.

No other information has leaked on the project, except that it will be directed by SJ Clarkson (

), written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (

) and that, according to several sources relayed by Deadline, it is possible that the character will be completely reinvented for his passage on the big screen.
