Citizen Mohammed Rashid Mashari Al Shamsi recounted the details of the marriage ceremony, saying: “The marriage ceremony that took place recently is a message to revive ancient weddings, folklore, traditions and customs that urge instilling cohesion and cooperation in preparing and cooking banquets, receiving and welcoming guests, by distributing roles to them to create Arranging the locations of the ceremony’s activities, such as tents, cooking places, bridal umbrellas, firewood, and bringing it to the venue of the ceremony, which is the home of the bride’s family.

He added that "work has been done to level and mop the land, prepare the place and furnish it with carpets, traditional wooden benches and lightings distributed throughout the place, bring jeeps (model 63) and park them at the entrances in an orderly manner, and build (Al-Arshan) to save cooking supplies and an inspiration for the old housing, and build a barn (Al-Qadain". ), while the cooking place included a large number of large pots (aprons), and a red (cruiser) that was used for firewood was arrested in (Al-Badi), along with piles of brown wood.

He said that "marriage between the two Eids was not popular with the Bedouins (Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha), because they believed that marriage between the two Eids bore a bad omen for the newlyweds, and this custom is not limited to the Bedouins alone, but rather it is a dominant feature of most residents of the Emirates in their different environments, and the Bedouin prefers Marriage is on Thursday more than on other days, as blessings are given on it and on the Friday that follows it.

He added that "a girl is asked to marry after puberty, while a young man marries from the beginning of the 18th to the mid-twenties, and not before that because of life circumstances, and due to the small number of women in the desert compared to men, so divorced women married immediately after the expiry of her waiting period from the first marriage."

He pointed out that “marriage in the desert has regulations and provisions. The Bedouin young man only marries his cousin, and it is a common custom among the Bedouin tribes. If this is not possible, another girl from the (Al-Farij) girls is chosen, and that girl may be one of the young man’s relatives or neighbors.

During the engagement, the father of the bride-to-be goes to the girl’s father’s house to propose to his son, and he can be accompanied by a group of men who have a standing with members of the local community.

And he indicated that “one of the qualities that a young man who proposes to marry a girl from the Freej must possess is that he has a good reputation, is generous in hand and in good manners. Then it will have (full descriptions).

He said, “One of the customs of sermons in the Emirates, which the Bedouins are also known for, is that the girl’s father does not set specific demands, and does not stipulate anything at all. Other requirements, and usually the bride’s dowry in the desert is a she-camel that her father takes, and the late one is determined, and it is called (money) and it is also a she-camel similar to the dowry, and after the date of the wedding or wedding is set, the caller goes on his camel, to invite the people of the Freej and Al-Qusair, that is, the neighbors farthest from Al-Freij, to attend the wedding and share everyone's joys.

A week before the wedding, the bride’s beautification and preparation is started, and the groom provides the bride with gifts, which are all the personal necessities she needs such as clothes and perfumes. (rice) on the lunch table.
