A Russian strike in Ukraine hit a television tower again on Monday.

The attack this time took place in the village of Antopil, in the west of the country.

This fatal strike comes after the attack on the television tower in kyiv and the takeover of the broadcasting towers in Melitopol and Kherson.

Russia continues to target Ukrainian media.

Monday around 4 p.m., on the twentieth day of the war, a strike hit a television tower in the village of Antopil, located in western Ukraine in the region of the city of Rivne.

This tower was hit by two missiles.

Local authorities said the attack left nine people dead and nine injured.

The retransmission of Ukrainian programs has been temporarily interrupted.

TV and radio towers regularly targeted

According to the head of the local administration Vitali Kobal, access to television was already restored at the end of the day in the northern part of the Rivne region, thanks to the cable network.

This is not the first time that a Ukrainian television tower has been attacked by Russian bombardments: on March 2, a Russian strike targeted the surroundings of the television tower in kyiv.

This attack had caused the broadcast of the channels to be interrupted for some time.

At least three other radio and television towers had also been targeted, according to information from Reporters Without Borders, which seized the International Criminal Court.

Two radio stations in the towns of Melitopol and Kherson also stopped broadcasting last week after they were taken over by Russian military troops.
