Regarding priority measures such as prevention of spread of the deadline on the 21st of this month, Aichi Prefecture will request the government to cancel it on the morning of the 16th as the number of newly infected people is declining and the bed usage rate is expected to improve. We have solidified our policy.

Governor Omura of Aichi Prefecture said at a press conference on the 14th, "It may not be possible to cancel it. I would like to make a decision in the middle of this week."

As a result of analyzing the infection situation in the prefecture in the first half of this week, the number of newly infected people is declining and the bed usage rate is expected to continue to improve, so we requested the government to cancel the priority measures on the morning of the 16th. We have decided on a policy to do so.

On top of that, if the priority measures are lifted, the prefecture will not request restaurants to shorten their business hours.

On the other hand, compared to last year's "Fifth Wave", the pace of improvement in the infection situation is slower, and there will be many events that change every year, so we will continue to call for thorough infection control measures.

Governor Omura will hold a press conference on the afternoon of the 16th to explain these policies.
