A bridge with a total length of about 1,700 meters was completed on the Yoshino River that runs through Tokushima City, and local elementary school students who were about to graduate walked across before the highway including this bridge opened on the 21st of this month.

The "Yoshino River Sunrise Ohashi" was built on the section that straddles the Yoshino River on the "Tokushima Nanbu Expressway" that connects Tokushima City and Anan City in the southern part of the prefecture.

With a total length of about 1700 meters, it is the second longest concrete road bridge in the country.



About 100 sixth graders who graduated from elementary school in Tokushima City walked across on the 14th, before the 4.7km section including this bridge opened on the 21st of this month.



The children walked energetically with their friends, looking to the eastern sea of ​​Tokushima prefecture, looking for Awaji Island in Hyogo prefecture, and enjoying the scenery.



The 6th grade girl said, "I could see Awaji Island and it was beautiful. I'm graduating soon, so I was happy to be able to walk with everyone in the class at the end."
