The Nigerian girl named Chen Yue (Ifeoma Amuche Gladys) has a wish: she hopes to learn Chinese traditional culture well and contribute to the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Africa.
In 2016, 16-year-old Chen Yue came into contact with Chinese for the first time. Since then, she has become curious about China, so she set a goal: to learn Chinese and go to China.
"The bright moonlight in front of the bed is suspected to be frost on the ground. Raise your head to look at the bright moon, and bow your head to think of your hometown." In 2018, Chen Yue studied ancient Chinese at Sichuan Foreign Studies University and developed a strong interest in poetry. The first poem she learned was "Silent Night Thoughts".
"Perhaps because of "Silent Night Thoughts", I liked the 'Poetry Fairy' Li Bai very much from the beginning." Chen Yue said.
Chen Yue said that Li Bai in the poem is heroic and unrestrained, and he is broad-minded and detached.
"I also want to be like him, not to be tired of everything, and to face life calmly."
Chen Yue loves watching Chinese costume dramas, and the poetry and lines of ancient style and rhythm always make her feel like a spring breeze and inspire her.
"For example, in "The Wild Goose Returning to the West Window Moon", the protagonist Xiaoman said to his brother, 'There will be times when the wind and waves break, and the sails will be hung straight to help the sea', which expresses the poet Hongda's ideals and aspirations and his firm belief in realizing his ideals."
In September 2019, Chen Yue stepped into the gate of Southwest University and studied Chinese in depth.
Listening, speaking, reading, writing... With the improvement of Chinese level, Chen Yue's poetry accumulation has become more and more abundant.
"Tan Ge Xing", "Remembering Shandong Brothers on September 9th"... Chen Yue has been wandering in the sea of poetry and successfully appeared on the stage of "2022 China Poetry Conference".
Seeing that the warning light in front of him turned on and off, and turned off and on again, Li Bai's words, "I am born with my talents will be useful, and I will come back after all the money is gone" repeatedly surfaced in Chen Yue's mind.
"In the midst of the colorful clouds of the White Emperor, a thousand miles of Jiangling will return in one day." The cultural attractions of "2022 China Poetry Conference" specially present the "Chinese Poetry City" Chongqing Fengjie Poetry and Painting Scenery.
Chen Yue never thought that such a poetic and picturesque place would be by her side after studying in Chongqing for so long.
She said, "If there are poems and books hidden in the heart, the youth will become true. I believe that the people of Fengjie will live happily."

She dreams of becoming a professional conference interpreter after graduation. The first step in realizing her ideal is to learn Chinese culture well and become a "China Hand".
