Selling 73 "original" images of the moon!

73 original photos of the American space agency (NASA) were sold for a total amount of more than 171,000 dollars, in an auction that took place, last weekend, in Copenhagen, including the first photos taken on the moon, in July 1969. "Agence France-Presse", that it "sold specifically 73 out of 74 photos, for a total amount of 1,155,050 Danish kroner."

The series of photos was put up for sale by a foreign collector, who asked not to be identified, and was valued at 1.4 million Danish kroner ($205,000) by Bron Rasmussen.

"One of his favorite images from this wonderful collection is Buzz Aldrin's photo by Neil Armstrong, in which Armstrong's reflection can be seen in the helmet windshield," Braun Rasmussen's official, Kasper Nielsen, told AFP.


The 74 images were taken from the multiple versions of the "Apollo" missions carried out by the US Space Agency (NASA), in the orbit and on the surface of the moon during the 1960s and 1970s, including 26 images taken from the moon.


"Of course the most important (in the auction) is the arrival of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon for the first time on July 20, 1969, and the series of images has been put up for sale by a foreign collector who requested Anonymity was not disclosed, and the house "Bron Rasmussen" estimated its value at 1.
