On the 13th, the costumes worn by the people involved in the mountain hoko "Takayama", who will return for the first time in about 200 years, were unveiled during the Yamahoko cruise at the Gion Festival in Kyoto this summer.

"Takayama", which has the theme of hunting for hawks, is a historical mountain hoko that has been confirmed to have existed before the Onin War in the Muromachi period. Since I haven't participated, the local preservation society has been working on the restoration of mountain hoko since 10 years ago, and I am planning to return for the first time in 196 years.

On the 13th, in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, costumes were shown wearing "Ototori", which makes a shout in front of the dust when cruising, and "Car", which adjusts the wheels when advancing the dust.

The costume was designed by a student at Kyoto City University of Arts, and has "Taka" and the wheels of the sword.

The members immediately wore costumes and practiced shouts.

Junji Yamada, President of the Takayama Preservation Society, said, "I made a very good costume with a novel design. I have only four months left until the cruise, so I want to steadily prepare."
