As Russia's military invasion of Ukraine continued, a charity concert was held in Hiroshima City, where families with roots in both countries called for support for Ukrainians.

The charity concert was organized by Elena Hiraishi and her family, whose mother is from Russia, from the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine.

At the concert held in Naka-ku, Hiroshima City on the 12th, about 50 spectators who had booked in advance gathered.

At the beginning, Elena's eldest son, Taishi, said, "I think music is a universal language that can be understood by people from any country. I will play it with the utmost prayer for peace."

Next, Elena's third son, Eishin, a junior high school student, performed a violin song by composers from various countries such as Italy and Germany, and the audience gave a big applause.

The proceeds of the concert will be used to support Ukrainians through Rotary Club.

After the concert, Elena said, "I think I was able to convey the feelings of praying for peace and wanting to get along. Even if I'm away, I'm still with the Ukrainians."

The concert will be held in Hiroshima City on the 13th and 27th of this month.
