At the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, there are voices worried that the nuclear accident will occur again in Fukushima Prefecture about the fact that the power supply from the outside has been lost.

In 2013, two years after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, the deputy director of the Chernobyl Museum, which was established to convey the accident at the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and representatives of disaster victim support groups visited Fukushima Prefecture. The group stopped by "Minato Nursery School" in Soma City.

The nursery is still decorated with the Ukrainian folk craft bell that was given at that time.

Director Nobuhisa Wada said about that time, "When I was having a hard time decontaminating the garden and dealing with families evacuating, I asked him to come to Fukushima from a distance and work hard together. That was very encouraging. "

On top of that, regarding the fact that it was reported that the power supply from the outside was lost at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, "I am strongly afraid that an accident like Chernobyl or Fukushima will occur again. It's going to be a big deal all over Europe, so I'd like you to do something about it. "
