The explorer "Rashid" is preparing to launch to the moon in the last quarter of this year, where it is expected to reach the landing point "Lake of Dreams" in the first quarter of 2013, to begin the main mission of the project, which lasts for one lunar day, which is equivalent to 14 days. And half a day on Earth, extending the mission to a second lunar day while trying to keep the instruments in the explorer after sunset, with temperatures dropping to more than minus 180 degrees at night.

The explorer will study various aspects of the lunar surface, including its soil, composition and components, as well as the thermal properties of the lunar surface, such as its temperature range and conduction properties.
