The writer Alain Mabanckou is on tour in four French institutes in East Africa: in Rwanda, in Kenya, and in the east of the DRC, in Goma and Bukavu.

He leads conferences on the place of French in Africa as a prelude to Francophonie Week scheduled for March 12 to 20.

French is the language of his novels which he has been writing for many years.

Since his first book,

Bleu blanc rouge

published by Présences africaines in 1998, he has not stopped writing against the backdrop of Congo Brazzaville, the country in which he was born.
